3M 4910 VHB tape is a clear VHB Acrylic foam product with Red PE liner that is excellent for joining transparent materials Use for clear and colorless applications. Mount signs on glass and acrylics. Provides the simplicity of a tape fastener with incredible strength that in many situation replaces rivets, bolts, screws, spot welds, liquid adhesives and other permanent fasteners. Tape has 100lb per square inch tensile strength and 5mil red polyethylene liner. Temperature range is -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. Dampens noise, shock, and vibration. Resists moisture, UV, and solvent. Indoor/Outdoor application.

3M VHB 4930 tape has a white closed-cell acrylic foam carrier with all purpose acrylic adhesive and paper liner. High strength, handling convenience, cushioning, damping and impact resistance. UL listing 746C. Application ideas include attaching stiffeners in air conditioners, office furniture and telecommunications equipment. Also used to bond aluminum skin to steel support of trucks, vans, and ambulances, bond architectural signs to frames.   

3M 4941 VHB Tape produces a strong durable bond that has considerable resistance to moisture and UV light. It has been commonly used for glazing bar applications in the window and door industry.

3M 4991 Grey VHB (very high bonding) industrial strength double sided tape has incredible strength and it can replace mechanical fasteners in most assemblies. Tape is 90mils or 2.3mm thick.  Bonds well to many painted metals, unpainted metals and high energy plastics.Temperature range is up to 300°F

3M 5952 Double coated VHB Acrylic Foam Tape. Soft conformable foam molds to irregular surfaces.  Bond painted metal and plastic with little or no surface priming or abrading. Special formulation also bonds on contact to most paints and powder coats, and to hard-to-bond plastics such as acrylic, polycarbonate, and high temperature co-polyester. Resists moisture, UV and solvents. Indoor/outdoor. Black acrylic foam with acrylic adhesive; red polyethylene liner. Temperature range is -40°F to 300°F. Used in Oil & Gas and Building & Construction industry.

 

• Clean surface before applying with an IPA/water mixture. See demonstration video.
• In some instances where VHB tape is being applied to painted or bare metal substrates, use 3M Adhesion Promoter 111 prior to applying tape.
• Apply 15 psi at the bond line, either by hand or with a roller
• Typically apply at 50-60 degrees F (10-26 deg C)
• Instant tack at room temperature
• At 20 min 50 percent bond strength
• At 60 min 75 percent bond strength
• At 24 hours 90 percent bond strength
• At 3 days 100 percent bond strength
